Coralyn jones

Coralyn Jones from Jackson, MS started dancing at the age of 3 years old at New Hope Christian School with Ballet Musterseeds (Jackson, MS).  She continued dancing at Dance Unlimited (Byram, MS), Power APAC (Jackson,MS), Dance Savvy (Byram, MS) and later Xpress Dance Company (Madison, MS) as a company member. 

 

Coralyn has participated in numerous competitions, conventions and intensives over the years, including Debbie Allen Summer Intensive, Ballet Magnificat Summer Intensive, Dance Makers, Dance Revolution, Dupree Dance, Fire & Ice, Hollywood Dance Jamz, Hollywood Vibe, Intrigue, Imagine, in10sity and VIP.

 

She has worked with many professional dancers at conventions.  She recently received the ALLSTAR Dance award from Dupree Dance where she was chosen to open up with other dancers for the 2017 Summer Intensive in Chicago, IL .

 

Coralyn also recently received the Judges Choice award, Most Photogenic and Top 10 high score at VIP.  She was chosen to participate in the 2017 American Dance Festival at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina was a scholarship recipient of Broadway Dance Center. Fall of 2017 Coralyn chose to pursue  at the University of Southern Mississippi majoring in Dance Performance and Choreography and is a member of The Dixie Darlings collegiate dance team.

 

May 2018 Coralyn published her first children’s book called Leap! "Leap!" is Leap! is for children of all ages and stages who, like Coralyn, dream of a life as a professional dancer. Here she shares the characteristics it takes to achieve those dreams and make their marks on the world. Ending her freshman year of college Coralyn decided to transfer to University of the Arts to continue her studies in dance, performance, and choreography where she will obtain her BFA in dance May 22,2021.
